Wesley has developed a Nationally Accredited short course for candidates wanting to pursue a career in the health professions or for clients working in industry who wish to further develop their skills in medical administration.

Delivered :        Australia wide in over 18 locations Nationally

Units :              The short course represents 5 Key Accredited Medical Units from the Certificate III of Business Administration (Medical) and fast tracks students to become ‘job ready’ for a career in health.   This workshop is particularly suitable for students with some administrative experience.

Pricing and concessions

Our programme is delivered face-to-face over 4 Saturdays at over 18 locations Australia wide. and is well priced at $625.00 all inclusive of course materials, learner guides, demo software, workbooks and refreshments.   Students are also invited to a further 3 hour Pracsoft Computing workshop for no extra charge – an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills with a medical accounts software program utilising real case scenarios to gain practical experience in medical computing.


Wesley offer a $80.00 discount for concessionals or HCC holders.   Liaise with your Job Network Agency for further funding opportunities.  Wesley’s range of courses are Centrelink approved.  For further concessional opportunities – please review General Concessions.   There may be funding and scholarships opportunities for eligible students via the Certificate 3 Guarantee program, User Choice Traineeship program, or the WA Future Skills training program.

Keeping it real

Wesley believe crucial medical units should be delivered face-to-face (not online), led by industry leaders facilitating real mentoring,  real industry leaders and real medical scenarios.

The Certification (Statement of Attainment) is very well regarded and recognised in industry, and is designed to empower the student to become Job Ready for a career in health.

The 5 Units of Competency achieved in this programme, can be utilised as credits in future study pathways and can be used towards the Wesley Certificate III Business Administration (Medical).

 Study Pathways

Students who have completed or are considering the Wesley Medical Reception and Terminology Short course may also consider enrolling for the full Certificate III Business Administration (Medical) BSB311115 Qualification.    Our short course is ‘part’ of our Qualification.

The full qualification expands further medical studies in addition to developing key administrative and keyboarding skills to develop the skills and knowledge of the medical administrator.     Students will develop key Microsoft Word skills, desktop publishing skills, medical letter production, reading doctor’s writing, formatting, editing, proofreading and formatting of medical documents.
